Abstract:	The original results of own researches of the cleavage of protein substrates (fibrin(ogen), thrombin, casein, hemoglobin, gelatin, serum albumin) by extra- and intracellular proteinases of four reference toxigenic and non-toxigenic strains of Corynebacterium diphtheriae and inhibitory analysis are presented. The features of proteolytic properties of purified samples of diphtheria toxin are described. The ability of PW-8 strain of production of protein substances with proteolysis effector properties is demonstated.
