Отмечаются, что у мужчин склонность к ассертивному реагированию, бегству, отсутствие склонности подавлять агрессию связаны со значимостью зависти. Деструктивность у мужчин определена связью с активной и пассивной агрессией. У женщин склонность к активной агрессии, пассивной агрессии и отсутствие склонности к подавленной агрессии связаны с показателями интенсивности зависти.
