dc.descriptionThe article examines the confessional situation in the western regions of Belarus since the entry of these regions in September 1939 into the BSSR and the USSR. The initially pursued religious policy of the Soviet government in the western White-Russian region in relation to the Orthodox Church, Catholic Church, and religious sects was distinguished by its "restraint." Since the spring of 1940, the "moderate course" of the Soviet government in the field of ideology and religion gradually began to change, when a policy similar to the one that had taken root throughout the Soviet Union for decades was already planned.ru
dc.description.abstractВ статье рассматривается конфессиональная обстановка в западных областях Беларуси с момента вхождения в сентябре 1939 г. этих областей в состав БССР и СССР. Первоначально проводимая религиозная политика советской власти в западном белорусском регионе по отношению к православной церкви, католическому костелу, к религиозным сектам, отличалась сдержанностью. С весны 1940 г. умеренный курс советской власти в области идеологии и вероисповедания стал изменяться в сторону ужесточения, что привело к закрытию многих храмов и репрессиям в отношении священослужителей и верующих.ru
