Description: From since the opening biological role of nitric oxide (NO), there was a significant breakthrough in understanding the flow of various physiological and pathophysiological processes, as well as proved role in the regulation of nitrogen monoxide almost all body systems. Nitrogen monoxide is one of the essential factors that ensure the development of the nervous system. The article presents the results of research of activity neuronal NO-synthase under the influence of the infectious agent, on an example of Newcastle disease viruses influence in the period embryonic development of chickens. Biochemical method for the determination of stable metabolites of nitric oxide and «pixel» method of determining the optical density of the product histochemical reaction showed that Newcastle disease virus’s infection of bird’s embryos has led to reduced NO-synthase activity.
