Abstract: The aim of this work is to study the distribution of NADFH-d/CNO - positive nervous cells in the brain of fishes and amphibia such as representatives of anamnes and of birds and mammals such as representatives of amniots. It has been established that in the process of phylogenesis, parallel with complication and perfection of the nervous system and as a consequence the adaptation to the environment, it is observed that the number of NO-synthesizing nervous cells in the intermediate brain increases.
