Abstract: В статье дается характеристика территориальной структуры городского населения Белорусского Полесья. Автор обращает внимание на классификацию городских поселений, их функциональное назначение. Рассчитаны коэффициенты интенсивности урбанизации региона в период с 1979 по 2009 гг. Показана динамика роста численности городского населения Белорусского Полесья, выделены формирующиеся городские агломерации.
Description: The article gives the description of the territorial structure of urban population of Belarusian Polesye. The author pays attention to the classification of urban population, and their functional purpose. The intensity factors of the region urbanization during 1979-2009 were calculated. In the research the dynamics of the growth of the population of Belarusian Polesye are shown, and the urban agglomerations are marked out.
