Трихинеллез в Беловежской пуще (прикладные и теоретические аспекты)

Abstract

The idea of innate nidal nature of trichinellosis in the Belovezhskaya Pushcha, stated by M.Ya. Belyaeva in 1954, gained a rather prompt support in Belarus and beyond its borders. However, during the last several years, it was brought into challenge in connection with the efforts of taxonomic revision of the Trichinella genus. A long-term comparative study of the epidemiology and trichinosis incidence in wild and domestic animals in the Belovezhskaya Pushcha and its vicinity has confirmed the view that the pathological agent of trichinosis is one and the same for the wild and domestic animals, and of innate nidality of the disease.
