Abstract: The role of bilaterial management of a water mode with use of subsoil humidifying on drained peat soils in increase of efficiency of haymakings at the lowest speed of reduction of capacity of a peat layer is shown. It is established, that the speed of reduction of capacity of a peat layer is reduced at 40 % at maintenance of humidity of soil in the top layer 0...30 centi­meters at a constant level making 65... 75 % of peat volume.
