Abstract: Проведение реформ высшей школы предъявляет повышенные требования к уровню подготовки специалистов в области физического воспитания в академиях, университетах и институтах физической культуры. Важным звеном в профессиональной подготовке квалифицированных педагогических кадров является совершенствование профессионально важных двигательных качеств, которые, к сожалению, к окончанию обучения, т. е. 4–5 курсу, значительно ухудшаются.
Description: The reform of higher school makes increased demandsto the formation and perfection of professionally important motor reflexes that tend to become worse at the end of training. First of all it causes visible degradation of students’ exercise performance. Therefore, to define the level of physical readiness of forth – year female students we have carried out a set of conditioned tests for various groups of muscles. The results of the research showthat the most prepared are the students with specialization in sports gymnastics, health-improving aerobics and sports acrobatics, and the worst prepared are the students with specialization in volleyball, sports dances and rhythmic gymnastics.
