Abstract: Degassing of solutions, their perflation with nitrogen or addition or compounds binding the dissolved oxygen such as hydroquinone, pyrocatechol, sodium sulphite decelerate the streptokinase-induced fibrin gel lysis. It is concluded that oxygen of the medium directly influences the fibrinolysis intensity. Oxygen is supposed to participate (presumably in its active forms) in the specific catalytic process of plasminogen activation.
