| Abstract: | Electrophysiological investigations of anesthetized rats after microinjections of catalase or plasminogen to the solitary tract nucleus or caudal ventrolateral medulla revealed an increase in electrical activity of neurons in the dorsal motor nucleus of the vagus. It is concluded that plasminogen-plasmin, besides the specific role, can perform in the CNS functions of intercellular messengers and modulators of synaptic processes. |
