Synthesis of natural brassinosteroid - 28-homobrassinolide and its stereoisomer - (22S, 23S)-28-homobrassinolide was carried out. The essential difference in the rate of the influence of 28-homobrassinolide and (22S, 23S)-28-homobrassinolide on the catalytic properties of the monooxygenase system of the mammals' liver cells participating in the metabolic activation of the procancerogenic chemicals like benz(a)pyren was shown. The physiological importance of the process for functioning an organism of mammals was discussed.ru
