Потенциал исламского финансирования в Беларуси

Abstract

The author examines the potential of Islamic finance in the Republic of Belarus as a tool for attracting investment and increasing financial inclusion in the context of sanctions pressure from Western countries, conducts a comparative analysis of traditional and Islamic financial systems, highlights the distinctive features of the latter – a ban on interest transactions, securing transactions with real assets, as well as the application of the principle of sharing risks and profits. The main instruments of Islamic finance, their advantages and disadvantages are considered. It is emphasized that the digitalization of Islamic financial instruments, the introduction of hybrid instruments combining various Islamic operations and elements of traditional financial instruments can overcome scaling barriers and adapt the system to the conditions of our country. The author proposes specific directions for the development of Islamic finance in the Belarusian economy.
