dc.descriptionThe hypothesis that homocysteine plays a key role in the development of atherosclerosis has been actively discussed recently. It is believed that homocysteine weakens the vessel walls and promotes the formation of atherosclerotic plaques. This increases the risk of blood clots. The aim of our study was to determine homocysteine levels and their changes in middle-aged and older patients during a course of taking the nutritional supplement EXPONENTAHIGH-PRO. A month-long course of EXPONENTAHIGH-PRO nutritional component helps normalize homocysteine levels and, therefore, aids in the prevention of cardiovascular disease in middle-aged and older adults.ru
dc.description.abstractВ последнее время активно обсуждается гипотеза о принадлежности главной роли в развитии атеросклероза гомоцистеину. Полагают, что гомоцистеин делает стенку сосуда более рыхлой и способствует образованию атеросклеротических бляшек. Таким образом, возрастает риск образования тромбов. Целью нашего исследования явилось определение уровня гомоцистеина и его изменений у пациентов среднего и старшего возраста в ходе курса приема нутритивной поддержки компонента питания EXPONENTAHIGH-PRO. Месячный курс приема данного компонента способствует нормализации уровня гомоцистеина и, соответственно, помогает в профилактике сердечно-сосудистой патологии у лиц среднего и старшего возраста.ru
