dc.descriptionThe article is devoted to the problem of the recreating the individual style of writing in another language. Special attention is paid to the methods of conveying the comic in the novel “Lit-tle Women” by L.M. Alcott, as a distinctive feature of the writer's individual style, and the ways of conveying it in Russian translations. It is found out that the use of a functional analog and compen-sation contributes to the preservation of the comic effect in translations.ru
