| Description: | This paper deal with the materials of the retrospective and current analysis of the peculiarities concerning the rabies situation on the territory of Belovezhskaya Puscha. During 1996-2007 100 rabies cases among animals have been investigated on the given territory. Six species of wild animals and four species of domestic animals have been determined to have rabies. The sickness rate of the wild beasts of prey makes up 77.0% of all the cases. The dominating place is taken by foxes 90.1% of all the sickness rate among wild animals. The role of wolves, such domestic animals as cattle, dogs and cats is decreasing. |
